Happy Cinco de Mayo!

Today is Cinco de Mayo. For those of you who don’t know what this is, Cinco de Mayo means “the fifth of May” in Spanish. It also means “we beat the French.” No, it doesn’t. But they did beat the French in the Battle of Puebla 148 years ago, so let’s celebrate.

  1. Cinco de mayo was really fun, though I think it took away from it that it was on the same day as the last day of classes so Student Events had all their stressbuster things going on.
    I think your post is really funny about what it means!
    Also, I’ve been trying to organize an Ocho do mayo party…anyone up for it? I think it has a nice ring.
